From the beaches of Las Canteras to the innovation mindset of tomorrow’s workforce, STEAM CHAMPS is headed back to Spain, and we’re opening camp slots now for our Summer Camp in Spain (June–July 2026).
Last year, we proved what happens when you blend global travel, real-world STEAM learning, and powerful mentorship in one unforgettable experience. Our campers explored the Canary Islands, Spain, immersing themselves in hands-on projects, cultural experiences, and conversations that expanded what they believed was possible for their futures.
At STEAM CHAMPS, we don’t just teach science, technology, engineering, arts, and math—we build confidence, curiosity, and leadership. We’re proud that our work was supported by United Airlines, One Hundred Black Men, Inc., and Harlem Commonwealth Council, Inc.—partners who share our commitment to access, opportunity, and excellence.
What we did in last year’s STEAM Champs Summer Camp in Spain
Our 2025 Summer Camp in Spain was packed with real learning and real fun, because kids deserve both. Campers built and created across multiple STEAM tracks, including:
- Drone building and flight exploration, where students learned design basics, problem-solving, and how engineering concepts take flight (literally).
- Robotics builds, where campers worked through the fundamentals of structure, movement, and programming logic.
- AI learning sessions, introducing students to how artificial intelligence works in everyday life and how they can be creators in the future, not just consumers.
And because global exposure matters, learning didn’t stay inside the classroom. Campers visited the opera house, experienced Spanish culture up close, and made memories that turned travel into a living lesson. They enjoyed local food—yes, including paella—and balanced the intensity of building with moments of joy, like playing in the sand at Las Canteras Beach.
Mentorship was also a cornerstone of the experience. Students had the opportunity to speak with mentors about college and STEAM pathways, helping them connect today’s curiosity to tomorrow’s goals. Those conversations were powerful, because sometimes the biggest breakthrough isn’t a robot that moves, but a student realizing, “I belong in these spaces.”
And in true STEAM CHAMPS fashion, our CEO and founder didn’t just lead; she participated. One of the most talked-about highlights? STEAM CHAMPS CEO and founder played basketball in the Canary Islands, showing our campers what confidence and leadership look like in real life: show up fully, wherever you are in the world.

This summer, we’re taking everything that worked—and leveling it up.
STEAM CHAMPS Summer Camp in Spain (June–July 2026) will continue our mission to create global learners and future innovators through hands-on STEAM experiences, cultural excursions, mentorship, and leadership development. Camp slots are opening, and we’re inviting families who want more than an ordinary summer to join a program that expands horizons and builds futures.
